Hutchison Port Holdings acquires a further 30% stake in Alexandria International Container Terminals

Hutchison Port Holdings  The group terminal operator Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) of Hong Kong has acquired the investment of the fund MENA Infrastructure Fund in the Egyptian company Alexandria  International Container Terminals (AICT), which operates the container terminal of the port of Alexandria and El Dekheila. With the acquisition of 30.33% stake in AICT previously held by MENA Infrastructure Fund, a fund that is managed by the MENA Infrastructure Dubai HSBC banking group, the HPH Group’s share in Egyptian society rises to 80% of capital.

AICT was formed in 2015 by HPH and by a consortium led by the Port of Alexandria. MENA Infrastructure Fund had acquired its stake in AICT in April 2008
