The Japanese shipping group MOL restructures the Dry Bulk division

MOL   The Japanese shipping group Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has announced the upcoming restructuring of its division that deals with maritime transport of dry bulk, which will be divided into two units Dry Bulk Business Unit Energy and Transport Business Unit with effect from April 1.

The group explained that establish the busines unit Dry Bulk in order to implement more effectively the structural reforms needed to optimize the fleet and make more efficient use of management resources and that will create the business unit Energy Transport as an organization that will manage the divisions of activity by type of ship, to meet the specific needs of customers in the sectors dealing with energy. MOL has specified that each business unit, under the direction of their respective senior executive, will step up its links with the unified organization of the group, characterized as “One MOL”, with the objective to improve operational performance and cost competitiveness and while providing optimal services to customers.
