The Turkish Yilport, the Chilean Agunsa and the UAE DP World will manage the Ecuadorian ports of Bolivar, Manta and Posorja

This was confirmed Saturday in Guayaquil by theEcuadorian President Rafael Correa and the representatives of the government announcing new foreign investment in the South American nation.

In particular, the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Walter Solís, specified that the concession contract for the management of the port of Bolivar will run for 50 years and will provide an investment of 750 million dollars by Yilport and $ 120 million from the state. The concession contract will be signed with Agunsa for the management of the port of Manta will run for 40 years and will provide investment to $ 175 million by the Chilean group and 105 million dollars by the Ecuadorian State. The contract for the management of the port of Posorja, lasting 50 years, will include investments for 1.28 billion dollars from the Middle East DP World, while recourse to the use of public funds will be excluded.
