Qingdao Port International and Maersk will invest in the port of Savona

 Qingdao Port International will invest in the port of Savona Vado alongside the Danish shipping group AP Moller-Maersk in the management of the multipurpose platform that is being built in the Ligurian port and which will become operational at the beginning of 2018.
The Asian company, which operates the port of Qingdao, has signed two joint venture agreements and a memorandum of understanding with the Danish group companies. In particular, the MoU signed yesterday by the Qingdao Port International and the Dutch APM Terminals, the terminal operator company of the entire property of the Danish group that is investing 150 million Euros in the new terminal Savona, provides that the parties will sign a joint venture contract with the ‘aim to operate and manage the terminal Vado Ligure along with other strategic partners.

A second contract signed by the Chinese with Svitzer Asia, a company wholly owned by the group AP Moller-Maersk, provides for the creation of the joint venture Qingdao Port Tug Svitzer Co. owned respectively 55% and 45% who will create services Towing in China.
